As I have recently turned the big 25, I thought that this would be a great time to talk about all of the lessons I have learnt so far. Some of them deeper than others and some that seem simple but are sometimes difficult to implement in everyday life.

1.     Don’t compare yourself to others, be the best you that you can be.

2.     New experiences are scary, feel the fear and do them anyway. Life is too short.

3.     It’s ok not to be ok.

4.     You can’t love someone in the right way if you don’t love yourself first.

5.     Brussel sprouts are actually quite tasty.

6.     Starting the day with a positive attitude impacts how you feel throughout it.

7.     My optimum sleeping time, to wake up feeling refreshed, is 7 hours. No more and no less.

8.     Your opinion is just as valid as the loudest person in the room.

9.     Don’t overthink everything.

10. Despite your 6th sense of being intuitive, your first impressions of people are not always right.

11. People do not always treat you badly on purpose, they just aren’t always aware that you have been affected.

12.  Forcing a smile can actually make you feel better.

13. My favourite colour will always be pink.

14. Jhene Aiko is my spirit animal.

15. Despite me liking jeans and converses I am the ‘girliest’ girl at heart.

16. I am easily amused.

17. Life is what you make it.

18. I want a large family, and I will have one, God willing.

19. I have to have fairy lights on everything to be 100% happy with any interior design.

20.  I was definitely a mermaid in my past life.

21. I have decided that dieting isn’t for me I am a big FOODIE. Will have to step up on the exercise.

22. Don’t keep anyone around who doesn’t contribute to your growth and success.  Two amazing friends are better than ten decent ones.

23. Your potential is limitless.

24. You are not the only one who gets nervous.

25. The person that you are meant to spend your life with will come along when the time is right.

Thank you so much for reading lovelies. I really do appreciate it!

Let’s talk: What lessons have you learnt since your last birthday? Have you learnt any of the things that I have?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Love Demitria x
